Overview

A heat-seal label is a printed label with a heat-activated adhesive on the back. Pressed onto fabric with a heat seal machine, the adhesive melts into the fibres and forms a permanent bond: no sewing and no loose paper tags. Each label carries a barcode and a human-readable number that identifies the item every time it is scanned.

We supply labels pre-printed with sequential numbers, with your own prefixes and number ranges, or as blank rolls you print on site with a resin ribbon. Labels come on a silicone release liner, in single or multi-across rolls sized for your printer or applicator.

Because we also build heat seal machines and supply resin ribbons, you can source the complete labeling setup from one manufacturer, with press settings matched to your labels and fabrics.

Questions

How long do heat-seal labels last?

They are designed to stay on and stay readable for the working life of the garment or textile, through repeated washing, drying and dry cleaning. Tell us your process and we'll confirm the right label.

What temperature are they applied at?

Typically around 190 °C (375 °F) for a few seconds with firm pressure. The ideal setting depends on the fabric and label, so we supply settings with every order.

Can you match the barcode format my system uses?

Yes. Send a photo of an existing label or your system's requirements (symbology, number length, prefix) and we print to match.

Can I print the labels myself?

Yes. Order blank label rolls with a resin ribbon for your thermal-transfer printer.

Do I need a special machine?

You need a heat seal machine with controlled temperature, time and pressure. We build those too, set up for our labels.

Are heat-seal labels only for laundries?

No. They are used wherever textiles need permanent identification: uniforms, healthcare and hospitality linen, apparel inventory, rental items and institutions.
