Overview

An RFID label is a printable label with an embedded RFID inlay: a tiny chip and antenna. A reader identifies every tag in range at once, so a carton, shelf or cart can be counted in seconds, without scanning items one by one.

Labels can carry a printed barcode and human-readable number alongside the RFID chip, so you can count in bulk by RFID and still scan by barcode at the counter. We supply rolls for RFID-capable printers, or labels pre-printed and pre-encoded, ready to apply.

For textiles that are washed, we supply laundry-grade RFID tags. Tell us the wash, heat and pressure conditions so we can match the tag to your process.

How RFID tracking works

  1. TagAttach a label or tag to each item, carton or asset.
  2. EncodeEach chip carries a unique ID linked to the item in your system.
  3. ReadA reader picks up every tag in range at once, with no line of sight needed.
  4. TrackCount, locate and trace items, and find losses fast.

Questions

UHF or HF: which do I need?

UHF for reading many items at a distance (inventory, logistics, laundry). HF/NFC for close-range single reads, for example with a phone. Tell us your reader and we'll match the tag.

Can you print and encode the labels for us?

Yes. Send your numbering or EPC scheme and artwork, and we supply labels printed and encoded, ready to apply.

Will RFID tags survive industrial washing?

Laundry-grade tags are designed for it. Send your wash temperature, drying and pressing conditions so we recommend the right tag.

Does RFID replace barcodes?

It can, or it can work alongside them. Many operations use both: barcode at the counter, RFID for bulk counts.
